Why is Frontier internet not working? ›

ISP outages and network congestion

When all else fails, try unplugging the router and modem for about 60 seconds, to reset them, then plug them back in. This will reset them with the ISP and may fix the problem. If that didn't do it, the next step to try is manually removing and re-adding the Wi-Fi network from the device's settings.

Resetting vs.

It involves turning the device off and then back on, either by pressing a power button or unplugging the power cord for a few seconds. This process clears the device's temporary memory, thus allowing the router or modem to reload its settings and re-establish connections with other devices.

Make sure: The modem is plugged directly into a working electrical wall outlet (not a power strip) and the power cord is connected securely on both ends. The modem is turned on. The wireless device that won't connect has Wi-Fi enabled and is not in airplane mode.
