Hello, I'm Vaishnavi, a first-year student at Pratibha College of Commerce and Computer Studies, pursuing BBA IB. BBA IB stands for Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business. This undergraduate program delves into both domestic and international aspects of business, covering topics such as import-export dynamics, supply chain management, logistics, and international marketing. My primary interest lies in marketing, especially within an international context. Throughout the course, I've gained valuable insights into export policies, such as the government's trade policy, which exempts us from paying export taxes if we possess a Letter of Undertaking (LUT). This policy was previously unfamiliar to me, but now I have a clear understanding of its implications.

www.cimp.ac.inDarjeeling tea industry witnesses 15% fall in demand in EuropeThe Darjeeling tea industry is witnessing at least 10-15% fall in demand for its world-famous aromatic tea in Europe compared to last year, a contraction that has virtually coincided with Germany slipping into recession.Indian Tea Exporters Association chairman Anshuman Kanoria told FE, “Germany is the consuming and trading hub for Darjeeling tea in Europe. In Europe, the demand is at least 10-15% less compared to last year. Moreover, unit sale price is same to marginally lower.”“Darjeeling tea exports toEuropeare expected to be lower this year,” Kanoria said.Germany’s gross domestic product fell by 0.3% in the first quarter of the year. This followed a decline of 0.5% in the fourth quarter of 2022.
