208th in the WORLD—Wow! The University of Aberdeen is one of the fastest rising universities in the UK. What a milestone! The University of Aberdeen has climbed 12 places to 208th in the world in this year’s revamped QS World University Rankings. The University is also again ranked in the top 30 in the UK overall (29th), and consistently from 25th to 33rd in the UK across eight of the nine metrics which determine the overall ranking. The exception to this is the new measure for environmental sustainability, in this measure the University has been ranked 4th in the UK and 21st in the world. This is the University’s best performance in one of the metrics that determines the overall ranking and follows on from the Times Higher Education’s Impact Ranking published earlier this month, in which the University was ranked 70th in the world and 18th in the UK, as well as the full QS Sustainability ranking published last year which placed the University 64th globally and 17th in the UK.
